How long has it been since you broke up?

I have a very good friend. He and I had a very hot relationship that lasted for many, many years. We still felt strongly for each other but he moved far away and we had to break up. It was really hard at first but as time passed I got used to him not being around. I still think of him often decades later. Thinking of him still puts a smile on my face and I get a little sad but the good memories are stronger than the sadness. Give yourself time. You will develop new relationships and find someone else. Just be glad that you were together as long as you were and remember the good times.
