I need to quit smoking for two main reasons. 1) It hinders my medication from working at it's full capacity. 2) My auto-immune issues are only going to get worse if I continue. I started smoking habitually when I was 19. I turn 23 in a week or so. I have tried e-cigarettes, but they have only ended with me wanting a real cigarette or going through them WAY too quickly. Nicotine helps with my anxiety, I suppose because it is ritualistic in nature and it's a "schedule" I follow.
Does anyone who has stopped smoking or is in the middle of their cessation have any advice for quitting? Gum and patches are out of the question because I cannot afford them (I do not pay for my cigarettes, a certain family member rolls them and gives them to me. It started after my brother died).
