I have an extremely strong religious background, but that didn't keep me for going off my own ways.
Growing up I was so afraid that I would never be good enough for God to help me and that Satan will take over me "any minute" that those thougths kept me full of fear for years, literally.
I never undertood that, if we go to church to learn more about God, why do we talk so much about Satan; that can be devastating on a child's mind.
So, now, I'm at this point. Most of you that know me a bit better, know how hard I try to believe in God, but I keep wondering that if I have to believe in God, eventually I'd have to follow some rules; here is the problem, I don't want to go to any church, So, whose rules should I follow?
I feel so trapped on this topic. I'm trying to be the best person I can, but at times that isn't enough...
