I agree, neurology, MRI's and neuro-psychological evaluations, can determine if there is something physical causing your depression.

They'll ask about any head trauma, etc. Whiplash, concussion, migraine/headache history.

Yes, any type of brain injury/illness can create a physiological depression/anxiety state.
