Yes, thankfully, they are old time college friends. We decided to hit up one of the dive bars in my neighborhood to do at least
something, in spite of the spectacular failure that was supposed to be my surprise party.
Still bummed about everything else though, but oh well.. when am I
not bummed about everything else?
