I had therapist (LCPC) for over 10 years, treated for depression. She kept me alive at least twice. The hospital sold their BH unit to some big company, my T did not transition over (she hinted that it was her choice because the new conditions were not tolerable).

She gave me her home phone number in case of absolute crisis but I was wondering can I send her a card or note just to let her know I am still in treatment? Short note, minimal medical info. Would she be allowed to reply or is communication only allowed in a professional setting?
