Having like a mental break down ( Pdoc not using that term)
She was under alot of stress about her church's beliefs and other issues, and one day, smoked pot,(she isn't a pot smoker due to anxiety issues, always has a bad high so she doesn't smoke) had the most high anxiety high that pushed her over the edge. She couldnt sleep for 6 days, i took her to the hospital 4 times bc of her delusions but all they did was give her something to calm her down, and referred her to her Pdoc. That was 7 wks ago. I thought her hallucinations were from sleep deprivation but have been told that stress can bring them on. So, anyway, the meds shes on is Risperdal, Citalopram 20 mg, tamazapam for sleep. Sorry im writing so much but i thought maybe someone in here might know whats going on. I've done nothing but research her symptoms and look up different conditions to see exactly what shes going through. After what Ive read on here re her low dose It doesn't appear that her Pdoc is treating the psychosis ): he prescribed it to help the Citalopram work better. Ugh. Do delusions go away on their own, if u dont have schizophrenia?
