Losing loved ones is not easy. Living and knowing you will never see them again is hard. I have lost loved ones, too, and still mourn their loss. i miss them all the time. Making it through the first year I found to be the hardest but on holidays, anniversaries and other family occaisions I find it still difficult. I'm glad you made it through the first year and found you had strength you didn't know you had. I'm sorry you had to lose him so young. Take care of yourself.
