LOL! I'm happy for you getting to meet the T's dog.
I have 3 of my own dogs, plus the occasional foster dog or two.
If your T is bringing the dog in, then I'm assuming it's people friendly. However, the BEST way to greet a new dog is to kneel down to it's level, next to the dog or off to the side just a little bit. Let the dog sniff you, and then gently pat the chest between the front legs, or scratch under the chin. The one thing you want to avoid is looming over the dog and patting on the top of the head. That's considered rude in doggie-world.
