I was simply confused because I've never heard of a sex educator in my life.

And I didn't go to kindergarten in the first place, I'm from the UK, we don't have kindergarten, kinda like we dont have sex educators

I'm 100% serious when I say if you said you were a 'sex educator' around me people would think you were trying to chat them up with a really bad chat up line.

I've taught sex ed in schools. We get sex ed in schools and then either go to a GP for medical stuff or therapist if there's something wrong psychologically.

Maybe they exist in the main cities here but I've certainly never heard of one, I messaged my friends in the uk who are all ages and live all over the country to see if I was just weird and none of them had ever heard of them either.
