So for the past two nights I've been sleeping about 3-4 hours, then waking up every 1-1/2 hours after that. I do not nap during the day but have been depressed, so my afternoon activity level is low. I've been taking the following at bedtime:
1. 3 mg lunesta
2. 5 mg saphris
3. 1-1/2 klonopin (.5 mg)
4. 100 mg lamictal
My pdoc's solution is to set 1/2 or full tablet of klonopin at bedside and when I wake up at midnight or whatever to take more klonopin.
He is so reassuring. He said, "We'll work through this" and "If that doesn't work I have another solution."
He doesn't seem too worried about my use of klonopin at the time (I've only been on this for a few weeks.) I don't want to get addicted or dependent on it though, so I'm hoping that going up to 40 viibryd next week will help the sleep too (it's supposed to help sleep, appetite and en energy at that point, according to my pdoc).
Anyway, I'm psyched about the new solution. I know sleep is vital to mental health.
