How has your body reacted to the Mirena when you first inserted it, and how long did it take for your body to get used to it?
Thanks.

Hi, I am going to speak from personal experience. I have had the Mirena and kept it for 4 years. When I first had it implanted I bled for about 2 months and then once the bleeding stopped I didn't bleed anymore. Upon having it removed I became pregnant. I lost the baby due to the effects it had on my body. I know that all women have different reactions to different methods of birth control, but I would recommend having it removed and going with the Depo-Provera. If you want children in the future the Mirena could harm you and cause not to be able to carry to term, have severe bleeding during pregnancy, and a number of other problems. Hope this helps you.
