I know nothing about this but ill give a guess that it would be all good if we agree that a schizophrenia diagnosis is made if it is reeeally bad or moderate or distresses the patient greatly and it goes on and on for ages.. Like terrible non stop voices with delusions that directs you away from reality and the same goes with seeing stuff uh.. without hearing voices because a schizophrenia diagnosis is a lifetime diagnosis i think for most people anyways and it wouldn't be good to say to someone that is seeing a few things or that is hearing a few things to say "you now have schizophrenia!!" it would just turn their life around and make them really upset.
Edit: Actually wait, my post doesn't make any sense. If a person is wrongly diagnosed with schizophrenia, then they wouldn't be all upset because they never went through the real symptoms..
But what ever you get what i mean.. i think..
