Let the therapist help you start... that's their job!

It is important to be able to talk freely about what is bothering you and that requires trust. Sometimes things can "click" right away and sometimes it takes a few sessions or more to establish that trust. The therapist should help with that. If you don't feel that you are becoming comfortable with the therapist, look for another. It isn't necessarily a sign that the therapist is bad or good... we just need to find someone with the right "chemistry" sometimes.
