I take topamax to prevent my migraines...I used to have a migraine almost every day, and topamax works amazingly well; now I only get a few a year. Some people have side effects and some people don't from topamax (I don't)...that's a definite hit or miss.

When I had migraines and was nauseated, I was prescribed Phenergan (generic is promethazine). Zofran does zero for me (but it's the latest and "greatest" antinausea med, in theory), which I found out in the hospital later when I had kidney stones...had to wait for it to get out of my system before they would give me the other and then I was sooo much better.
