I am trying to get a neuropsych to see if i have avoidant or just massive anxiety. I think DBT is one of the best methods of coping out there right now. It really takes work to learn and you have to keep at it, so it's not a cure, but it has helped me stay out of a crisis many times. It's the only way I can cope with getting to work and getting through my life some days.

I just found that the idea of staying in the moment is important and finding ways to distract from painful emotions until you can manage them is helpful. It will be better in a group as I am now left to keep my skills up on my own - my own therapist doesn't know dbt and I can't find anyone nearby who does it.
