I agree with looking into some anti-anxiety medication,
But also try to learn some new coping skills along with it!
One thing that I find helpful for me is to keep my hands busy. Drawing, sewing, writing with pencils, that sort of thing. And doing something I enjoy that keeps my hands busy has been helpful. Also keeping yourself busy with art projects, stories your writing, things you want to create with your hands is very helpful because it keeps your mind so full that you don't have the time to think about cutting.
