The more afraid you are of failure the more likely you are to fail. I remember a valuable lesson I once learned...

We went skydiving, all of us newbies and had a whole day of rigorous training first. On the one end of the fiels we were supposed to land in was an electric cable. Certain death if you got tangled in that and touched the ground. But our instructor said to take notice of it and then forget it. When you float down don't even look at it. The more you look at it, the closer you get to it because you move in the direction your head is facing... (not much wind that day) So, my point is, forget failure, don't focus on it, but rather focus on the task at hand, landing safely in the designated area...
