What is disconcerting is that your post manifests that you do not have a good neurologist to monitor you and that you have waited for so long (a whole year) before trying to seek help. Telling your mom or other lay people about it is not really useful - they do not know how to react. It is too complex for them. Your mom appears a bit neglectful of you - an adult person with a child on neurological medications should know better than dismiss your voices the way she did. She appears to be wholly uneducated about your disorder, so I would stop talking to her about it unless you need her help in making a doctor appointment.
