Did the doctor attempt to give you a referral to see someone else?

Sorry I don't live in the area. I'm not sure how useful boards are with respect to getting referrals. On the upside there are a whole bunch of therapists in your region and I'm sure there are a bunch of really good ones too.

It isn't unusual for people to see 4 or 5 before they find someone they 'click' with. Whether a therapist is a 'good' therapist or not can depend quite significantly on whehter you 'click' with them or not. What that means is that while other people can reccomend there is still no guarantee that you will find them good for you. And therapists that other people write off... Might be good for you.

(Think of it a bit like trying to find a nanny or something. You need to interview some to see which kind of therapist you prefer).
