an lpc, licensed psychologist, or a psychiatrist md are qualified to diagnose you with a mental illness not anyone else but for disability hearings they are most probably going to require a psychiatrist md to have diagnosed you but unless someone is very very very severe 90 percent of applicants are denied the first time they apply regardless of what proof they have of their disability
