Still no reply but my boss regularly used text message as a means of communication with me. The whole company does. If they want me for a shift they text me, if the need to have a meeting or training it is organised using text messages. So I didnt think it was that bad to use text in this situation when I could not talk on the phone when the company itself uses text to communicate.

My other job is going fine now and even if I lose the childcare one its not the end of the world. Its just sad cos I did really enjoy it. And I will miss the money but I can tighten the purse strings and get by. I dont know what the outcome is yet so I am not going to waste energy planning.
