I just lost my job last Friday.
My 3 year old granddaughter died at Easter time this spring (she had cerebral palsy and epilepsy and in December the doctor gave her 6 months to live). Now my daughter has anorexia and weighs about 90 pounds.
I started a new job in early June and the people were great and the money was $4 more an hour than I made at my last job. I was sick for 2 weeks in August - stress headaches and depression. My manager was great - very sympathetic, but when the two weeks ran into 3 they fired me. I don't blame them really.
I'm also having a knee replacement in Sept, and would have needed to be off 6 weeks for that.
So I applied for government disability again. I was approved for it in April 2013, so it's rubber stamped. But I'd rather be working.
When I started my new job in June I was gung ho, was very productive, loved my job, and worked overtime. I was probably hypomanic. After 2 months, with my daughter in such bad shape, I was depressed.
I have a resume on my laptop of every job I ever had. In the past 8 years I've had 14 jobs, and I was unemployed for 3 of those years.
