I understand. Trust me though - the counsellors actually do care about each and every student that comes through their doors. (Otherwise they're in the wrong profession - lol)

Just think about it, ultimately it's your decision what you decide to do - and for the record, going the first time to just talk to someone can be mildly alienating but it gets easier.
