Hi Gixxer,
Everyone is different so I can only give you hope from my personal experience.
It has been a little over a year since things last got really bad for me. I now am able to read and remember. My organizational skills are much better. I don't get distracted easily. I still battle lack of motivation and some depression, but most of that has to do with my life situation. I was very frustrated at one point about 6 months ago because I thought I wasn't getting better. Now, looking back I know there has been a ton of improvement. For me my progress has mostly been made by learning about myself, how to take care of myself, and gaining support from peers.
It has been hard and discouraging at times, but I have made progress. Socially I am less anxious. I haven't had an anxiety attack in about 3 months. I have had to really discipline myself, to break through the lack of motivation and social anxiety, but the reward has been great.

There are some symptoms that probably will always be around. Those symptoms I have had for most of my life. I am learning to live with them.

Hang in there.
