Yeah... but to be able to detect a lump on your own, you have to be familiar with all the glands and such that you have.. which means you have to do self exams regularly... and have sensitive fingertips.
I know the scientific community is mixed on these issues. Including the incidence of cancer... now they say that having cancer in your family doesn't mean you will get it... just that your gene might mutate also.
One that I do consider is ovarian cancer. For that, there are symptoms that don't go away. But they are symptoms that any menstruating gal might have from time to time (bloating, for one) ...
As a side, you know, most doctors and researchers are still male.. and they are making HUGE strides on prostate cancer detection. I've always said that if the test for that required men to have their scrotum crushed for a picture, those tests would have come a whole lot quicker!
