How the little things everybody tells you to do (to help you feel better) actually do help you feel better.

Like getting into my work. I feel GOOD when I've had a productive day. Happy with myself. On task. Optimistic about my future. Mentally stimulated.

Like eating healthier. I feel GOOD when I don't cram myself with carbs. Feel more awake and alive. In better spirits. Drinking water helps with that too. Instead of coffee and coke.

Like doing some exercise. I feel GOOD when I've done some of that. I've discovered stretches. My arms and my shoulders and my back and my neck and my legs and my abs. One day I felt like doing some stretches and I ended up doing that for an hour. And... I noticed I was sitting up straighter and my body actually felt better. I could feel my muscles the next day too so it was doing me some good. When I feel tired... Instead of napping... Exercise actually helps me feel more awake and alive. I didn't think I could do anything because cardio is ruled out because of injuries... But stretches... Just brilliant!

Of course knowing all this and actually doing all this are two different matters...

But... At least I know all this now. I never used to. What is hard now is breaking the habits. Especially when I'm tired and stuff. I just want to snooze or watch mindless TV or play mindless computer games or post on boards...

Gradually does it... But I need to make some changes...
