My dad's mom had bipolar but refused to take medication. She was in and out of psych wards her whole life. Her mother committed suicide. My dad seemed to suffer from occasional bouts of depression.

I have only one brother, and he's got no diagnosed or apparent disorder. I guess I'm the "lucky" one of my generation.
