I would have said something to my sister too, if I was 100% certain that he made a pass at me and wasn't just joking around. Would you have wanted your sister to tell you if the tables were turned?
It must have been very hard for you to decide to tell her this, just as it was probably very hard for her to hear it.
I'm not sure what your relationship was like with your sister before this happened, but it may not be unsalvagable. If you want to try to reach out to her, try something small like sending her a little card or something letting her know that you were just thinking about her.
