'hope you have good dental insurance!! I went to a new dentist for a second opinion, and on the questionnaire was asked if I had any fears about going to the dentist. My first day back to college I had to stop at the dentist's (student/intern), an a 1" spring snapped while my mouth was open and dropped down my throat. Luckily I was awake and gagged it up. For that reason I never do general anesthesia. One thing I do know: if a hygienist gives the shot of novacaine, whatever, into your gums, make sure they know the dose. I will never let one do that again. My jaw was sore for 2 weeks. Just saying only the DDS docs should be giving shots of anything. I hope it goes well for you.
