Tks for all your replies (more replies still accepted hehehe)
I have chronic neuropathic myofascial pain. I have been taking demerol for several years, and it has worked well for me. (it, too is considered highly addictive, yet I am not addicted.)
I haven't a clue what the new medical pain mgmt doctor will suggest; I don't know what he will be able to suggest and what I might try, since I am so allergic to medications. (I cannot take even the generic Demerol.)
I am not on any psychotropic medications.
Yeah, I was told oxycontin will level out the ups and downs of the pain mgmt, but then, they said that about methadone too (which nearly killed me.)
But if it does, and then I have, say, demerol , for the break through pain if I happen to try to "do" anything physical in life... it might be a good thing.
