From looking through some of your other posts, it looks like you really don't like the idea of antipsychotics, for a variety of reasons. But you were considering Geodon. It can be a little sedating, but nothing that changing the dosing time can't help. It does not tend to cause weight gain and doesn't typically cause the lactation issues of Risperdal. You will likely have to have an EKG before going on it just to make sure you don't have a heart condition called Long QTc, but I think it's generally considered one of the better tolerated APs.

As far as regular mood stabilizers go, it doesn't look like you've ventured into the Tegretol/Trileptal area before. These may require blood levels to be drawn, but you're probably used to that with the Lithium. But those are another option.

A newer AP out there now is Saphris. I don't know much about it, but it may be worth looking into if you're still open to taking an AP.

If it were me, I'd probably start with the Geodon, but I've been on it before, so I know it works for me. But it would also help with whatever psychotic symptoms you have a history of, whereas the Tegretol/Trileptal won't touch that.

It's a constant balancing act for us, isn't it? I hope you find the right mix soon.
