Please could you consider a new area for this forum - Underlying Physical Diseases and Conditions Causing Mental Illness ?? Or if not consider it under the heading of 'alternative mental health area'.

There is so much that has been emerging on this topic and it could really help people investigate and rule out physical or biological causes for symptoms of mental illness that are overlooked.

For example, there are the following :-

Parasitic diseases - including toxoplasmosis gondii
Heavy metal toxicity - mercury, lead, arsenic etc
Mold toxins
Bacterial infections - including Lyme disease
