Welcome to the forums! The Health Support forum might be good place to start a thread about this. I'm a recovering alcoholic of over 15 years, and I have chronic pain in my back, knee, and was recently dx'd with Fibromyagia. So, I take some pretty heavy duty pain meds. While I'm under a doctor's supervision, I know that I'm addicted to these meds. I try to be pretty open and honest about that.
