...if I wanted to stop cutting. My initial reaction was to go quiet. But not because I was embarrassed or ashamed - I really put some thought into the question. She went on to tell me that there was no right or wrong answer. And i decided that I don't want to stop cutting - but i do want to cut out the habitual cuts, where I don't cut because I "need" it as much as out of routine. I want it to be available if things are rough but not as an everyday every situation coping mechanism.
Has t ever asked you that?
If they did - how would you respond?
Was my response appropriate? I don't actually remember how she responded but I think it was just like an "okay, cool" type response. What does that mean?
