A 23 year old might often have issues renting a car, and a 28 year old might actually have graduated med school at that point, already be interning and literally be making life and death decisions. Although there would be a very real gap in experiences between 5 years during the 20's, I think what is important is the
sexual maturity. A 13y/o is vulnerable and very sexually undeveloped even if they are physically capable of reproducing. Of course, even older teens and 20 year olds can be just as immature ... but with a 13 y/o it's guaranteed they are not mature enough vs. a 21y/o would not be mature only because they're choosing to be that way.
Other than that, I agree!! : Who needs to be dating in highschool? Dating in high school is like the teenage equivilent of 'playing house' when you were in elementary school. It is all a a type of learning by emulating future roles that children have always preformed, "monkey see monkey do."
The difference is that playing house doesn't involve carnal reproductive urges ...
