My mood swings have been crazy and reckless lately. I've always considered BPD, but since I am pretty well adjusted over all (no offense to any BPD people), I figure that I fall more into the category of bi polar disorder. The thing that does get me though, is that my mood swings are super frequent, instead of lasting for weeks.

Anyway, I was talking to one of my Ts about it and she said that I am exhibiting signs of a bi polar disorder, but that doesn't mean that I have it, and that if I do, other things that I need to fix are personality based. My other T has been stressed with me lately because she feels that I can't pull myself out of a bad place and into rationality lately. She also said that I have the background that sets up BPD, but that doesn't mean that I have it. Both know that I have a P evaluation on Tuesday.

Are they implying that I may be looking at a possible BPD diagnosis? I don't mean for this to sound insulting, but a BPD diagnosis seems more daunting than bi polar, and both sounds even scarier. At the end of the day, I'm happy to be taken seriously and getting help, but I want to brace myself for what may happen.

What do you all think?
