I too suffered with PMDD after my tubes were tied. The week prior to my period I was a raging b****! I screamed, I cried, I slept and was soo mean. Then my period would start and I was back to normal. My periods were horrible and lasted 7-10 days and I had severe cramps. So over half the month I was dealing w my period. And my cycle was every 21 days. Very rarely I would go 28 days. I saw a gyn and begged for a hysterectomy but he said I was too young! I was in my late 20's and my tubes were tied. He did give me some sort of shot every month that stopped my periods but he can only do it for six month. Best six months ever. I also saw a pdoc and was prescribe prozac and while on it my periods were do able. But eventually I lost my job and insurance. I'm 47 now and may have a day of spotting twice a year. I had horrible hot flashes last summer but those have tapered off. One Dr says I'm in pre menopause, while my other Dr says I'm in menopause. I have estrogen should I need them but I haven't.
