During my teenage years, it helped me to cope with my confusing and destructive world, and now as a woman in her early 30s it helps as i re-examine those teenage years as well as early childhood times.
When i feel like i need it, i go to my journal and write and write until its all out of my head and i am feeling better.
I have always said that if we had a house fire, my journal would be the 2nd thing (after family photos) that i would try to get.
