As a person who very much likes to think he values reason and doesn't believe in fairy tales of any sort- I still find myself knocking on wood (though that may just a turn of phrase) and things like that. Especially if I'm 'up'. When 'up' on a payday walking past the scratch off machine is often too much for me. And even though I know, statistically, any place for lottery has the same terrible odds, I still feel driven to go back to that machine if I win or spend the money elsewhere if I lose.
Go figure.
Anyway, yes, as much as it goes entirely against my worldview, I find myself acting irrationally and doing superstitious stuff, cause "hey, it can't hurt." Haha.
