If it helps I can say that things can get better with time and therapy. My family provided great economic support when I was young but was very emotionally dysfunctional. I left after graduation and went to a university out of state. It wasn't until I was 26 and stated therapy that things started improving. You have a head start by looking for solutions now. Are you in therapy? Check out family counseling. it is not easy and there is resistance in families by those that feel comfortable where they are, it might not be pleasant for them but they have the security of the same routine and change is always hard. It is worth it though. Even if you decide to leave you will need to work on your part to have healthy relationships.
