Today was the first day of class and I wasn't worried at all since it's a easy subject for me. I'm taking medical terminology and already students are struggling with the class. I completed the whole chapter while everyone was completing the first exercise. The prof called some students up to the board to write certain medical words and to pronounce them. I knew the answer and how to pronounce it, but as soon as she called my name my heart went 1000 miles a second. I wrote it on the board correctly and pronounced it correctly which the teacher praised me for since it was a rather hard word to pronounce. Once I got back to my seat I noticed I got hives and my body was shaking. I was trying to take notes, but my arm wouldn't stop shaking and it was rather annoying. After the class was over I was so happy and excited how easy it will be to get an A, but as soon as I got to work I got the runs since my body was still in freak out mode. I don't know how to calm my body down when mentally I'm okay. I gave myself a pudding as a reward for doing well and the shaking has ceased.
Does anyone else experience this? When you mentally calm and nothing is wrong, but your body panics, gets shaky, heart beats faster, nausea, etc.?
