someone liking you is only beneficial while you are in their presence, afterwards it is more trouble than it is worth so i prefer to maintain a constant distance... it might even be said i prefer people dislike me, though i am often seen in good humor and most people around me assume i'm joking when i smile at them and say they are worthless to me. to take a line from the last person i told(for the dozenth time or so) "yes... that one is hard... for me to accept what 'there is no reason for me to' means.. that after spending a significant time with me.. you find no value in me That would be hard for anyone.. even you.. when it is your turn to hear it from someone.
