Taking responsibility is the opposite of being an awful person. The awful person would sit back and let it all happen,say "woe is me" and all that other stuff and never even try to change things.

One is not a lovely person only becuase they are disorder free. NO one is perfect, disorders or not. Being "lovely", "good", "nice" and all that does not have to be mutually exclusive with having a disorder.

The bpd can't take responsibility for anything, it's just a set of traits that describe your disorder. It does not make you who you are or anything. You are who you are in spite of those traits. Otherwise everyone with BPD would be exactly the same or nearly so and we aren't. It's the individual in you that makes you YOU.
