My T may have used it a couple of times after I used it. But I think we non-T's use "transference" as a catch-all for a wide range of feelings directed toward our therapists, and it has a more narrow definition in academic psychology.

And, from what I understand from my therapist friends, it's kind of old school and not a term that's readily used, though the concept and its impact in therapy is still alive and well.
