I would recommend getting in to see a dentist asap, as dental infections CAN cause dramatic effects. For some unknown reason, dentistry still isn't seen as a "necessary expense" in taking care of oneself here in the US yet. I've had a couple of in-laws (as well as my ex-hub) who ran into amazingly similar symptoms as what you explained occurring in your life right now.
