you sound a bit overwhelmed and confused as to how to go about making a home for yourself. this can be scary, where do you start? first you start with the bare necessities, the rest kind of finds its way in as you go. beds, a couch, perhaps a chair, however much seating you need for the living room to seat everyone comfortably. keep in mind, everyone will not want to sit on the couch together. dining set or tv trays. set of dishes, glasses, microwave, silverware, set of pots and pans, utensils such as wooden spoon and spatula, knife set, cutting board. mop broom, toilet scrubber. towels, shower curtain.

you can pretty much survive off those basics and build from there. visit thrift stores if you don't have a lot of money to buy things that catch your fancy to decorate with. you can get end tables to put dust collectors on. bring the kids with you and let them help pick things out. that will make it a home. take care.
