some people, unfortunately, haven't been taught the social skills that are required IRL and an online community is so much easier for many, many reasons. they might be homebound, painfully shy, scared of IRL, etc.

there was a time when, a two month period in 2005, that the only life i had was here because i am guessing that i had a nervous breakdown over some IRL situations that were out of my control. so, i believe at times, situational experiences may only allow online communication.

however, i do hope and pray that everyone of us gets healthy enough to do things other than type on a keyboard.......i know my life has improved immensely recently, meds and other stuff, and i'm getting out much, much more.
