Okay...this isn't a big deal, but it's bothering me. So...since I'm now retired and spending ALL my time working on my art, and getting ready for several fall art shows, I've cleaned out my studio work room and gotten organized. I found this group of glass blanks that a fella made for me about 20 years ago. I had worked with him previously doing art on the glass, and felt I wasn't getting paid enough for them. He sent me a group, and having bad feelings about him personally, I didn't do any work on them, just left them in a drawer, and now have found them after all this time. There are a LOT of them! I've been doing art on them for the past couple of days, and the surface is wonderful.
So...my concern, and question is...after all this time, should I contact him and offer to pay something for them? I know from having dealt with him previously that he greatly over-values himself and undervalues all other artists. I'm thinking just do some art on a few of them and send them to him as payment for the rest of the blanks. That is, judge for myself the value of the blanks, do some work as payment, send them and be done with it..
Does this sound fair? I've considered, since it's been so long, just not contacting him at all, but that seems dishonest.
Hey...I know this isn't earth-shattering , but I would love to hear advice.
