I, too, don't like to be in crowds of people, especially when I have to interact with them on a one-to-one basis. A friend of mine recently told me I've become anti-social. Perhaps I have, but my past experiences of not knowing how to deal with people without getting emotionally hurt have led me to lead a more solitary life. I'm still polite and speak to folks. I just sort of keep on walking.
